I completed a callback install. On my arrival I found system was coming on but customer said it wasn’t running before. I found some water in the drain safety reservoir. I poured water down the drain to test the drain and found the drain was backing up, this is what was causing the water safety float to shut the system down. I blew out drain with nitrogen and tested to make sure water was draining out properly, and it now is. Did not charge customer since it’s within one year labor warranty and we did connect to this existing drain. Showed customer how to remove cap on drain trap and periodically flush with hot water just to try to keep drain line as clear as possible. Checked filter and it is OK, system is running on my departure.
I replaced a in warranty part. I replaced a OEM transformer and control board. I installed a new thermostat. I Cycled system. All system operations are ok. System running on departure.
I performed a diagnostic service call on answer unit that got struck by lightening. Upon arrival I found that the thermostat was burnt and there was a blown fuse/. This unit will needed a replaced thermostat, transformer and control board. This job will have to be serviced again when the parts get in.
I provided an estimate on a Five Star 13 SEER 3 ton air conditioner. Along with the estimate is a 1 year scheduled maintenance agreement.
I gave an estimate to install a Heat Pump . I recommend a Five Star 16 SEER 3 Ton Heat Pump. Included in the estimate is a 1 year free service maintenance agreement.
